Stature Privacy Policy

Stature ("we", "us", "our") operates the Stature mobile app and related services at stature.club from Vancouver, British Columbia and Calgary, Alberta, Canada. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our services.
Information we collect
- Account information: email address, display name, @handle, profile photo, and sign-in provider (Apple, Google, or email/password).
- User content: photos and captions you post as social "instants" to friends, and profile information you choose to share.
- Habit data: habit board titles, progress, categories, and dual-camera proof photos synced to your account so boards survive reinstall. Habit proofs are private to you unless you share an instant to your friends feed.
- Activity summaries: step counts or workout summaries you choose to share from Apple Health. We do not read or upload Health data automatically.
- Device information: push notification tokens so we can send reminders and social notifications.
- Purchase information: Stature Pro subscription status is processed by Apple via the App Store. We do not receive your full payment card details.
How we use information
- Provide habit tracking, reminders, and social features
- Authenticate your account and sync your profile and posts
- Send push notifications (kudos, reminders) when enabled
- Operate friend discovery, search, and profile sharing
- Process Stature Pro purchases through Apple
- Review reported content and keep the community safe
- Improve reliability, security, and support
What we do not do
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use third-party advertising trackers or sell data to data brokers.
How information is shared
- Other users: your profile, instants, and friend-visible activity are shared according to app features you use.
- Service providers: we use trusted providers to operate the app, including:
- Supabase (hosting, database, authentication, storage)
- Apple (Sign in with Apple, push notifications, in-app purchases)
- Google (optional sign-in via OAuth)
- Legal and safety: we may disclose information if required by law or to protect users and the service.
Data retention
We keep your account data while your account is active. Habit boards and proof photos are stored in your account-backed cloud storage. When you delete your account in Settings, we delete your remote profile, posts, habit data, and associated cloud files, subject to reasonable backup and legal retention limits.
Your choices and rights
- Update your profile and reminder settings in the app
- Turn off "appear in discover" in Settings
- Disable notifications in iOS Settings
- Delete individual posts or your entire account in the app
- Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information
Residents of Canada (including Alberta/PIPEDA) and certain US states (including California/CCPA) may have additional privacy rights. Contact us to exercise them.
Security
We use industry-standard measures such as encrypted connections (HTTPS), authenticated access, and access controls through our backend provider. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
International users
Stature is primarily offered to users in the United States and Canada. If you use Stature from elsewhere, your information may be processed in Canada, the United States, or other locations where our service providers operate.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version at this URL and update the "Last updated" date.
